what is your real name? (if you give it away)
My real name is Grant Kwiecinski (Grant Quiz-in-ski)
when did you start djing?
DJ name pronunciation: Grrr-is... just like you would think it would be. I am currently signed to "Daly City Records" out of California in the Bay Area.
who/what are your major influences?
I started Producing music at age 14 (i'm 20 now). Started Djing my freshman year at college (Michigan State University) then stopped DJing and now do "performances" where I play all original material.
My major influences to inspiration are my friends n family, good weather, a strong morning coffee with a good book / cigarettes, and being with nature. Musicians that influence my work are guys like Pretty Lights, Opiuo, Bibio, J Dilla, Squarepusher, and Ratatat.
what are your favourite dj tools?
My tools of production include Ableton live, Propeller-head's Reason, midi keyboards, an MPD 24, guitar, bass, alto saxophone, vocoder work, vinyl sampling, and sounds that I find interesting / record with my phone's field recorder.
what are you hoping to achieve in the long run/ whats your ambition?
As far as my goals / dreams go, I would love to continue making a living off of making and performing music. More so, I plan on creating and teaching college computer music classes here in the states.
where will you be playing next/ what projects do you have lined up?
I have a rigorous schedule of gigs lined up around the mid-west. Most importantly is the EP I have coming out next month called the "End of The World Party" released with Daly City Records.
who would you love to collaborate with? (your dream collaboration effectively)
My dream collaboration? Haha, well, truly it would have to be with M.I.A. or Santigold. I absolutely love their voices and musical styles, and it would be tons of fun to work with 'em.

Favorite ways to find tracks? Soundcloud 100% The community of producers and listeners on that website is very inspiring. Well, soundcloud and tons of awesome blogs.
